Nissan e-NV200

The Nissan e-NV200 is the largest electric van available in the UK, and this model has won awards for its green credentials and low running costs. Light, agile and incredibly responsive, this compact van is ideal for use on busy city streets.

This van is based on the popular NV200 model, and the body has been re-designed to enhance aerodynamic efficiency. The silent powertrain means pedestrians may not see the van coming, so the bonnet is specifically designed to reduce the risk of injury to a pedestrian in the event of a collision. The e-NV200 has twin sliding side doors and 60:40 split swing rear doors as standard. Upgrade from the Acenta trim to the Tekna model for 15-inch alloy wheels as standard, or opt for metallic or pearlescent paint to add a contemporary finish.

Contained within the e-NV200’s neat dimensions is a 4,200-litre load space. The cargo space is 2.04 metres long and 1.22 litres wide, enabling this van to carry two Euro pallets with ease. If you choose the optional Extenso folding passenger seat, the load space is expandable to 2.8 metres. The maximum payload is 770kg, meaning this small van is very capable for its size.

The spacious cabin is well-appointed as standard. The entry-level Acenta model comes with heated seats, a rear view camera and Bluetooth® connection as standard, and if you upgrade to the Acenta Rapid you can also enjoy climate control. The Tekna grade adds Nisan’s CARWINGS connectivity and satellite navigation system.

Performance and efficiency

The e-NV200 is powered by an electric motor which produces 254Nm of torque instantaneously when you press the accelerator pedal. This results in a lively, responsive feel that is ideal for urban driving. With zero tailpipe emissions, the e-NV200 is extremely cheap to run, and a fully charged battery has a range of 106 miles. The standard charge takes eight hours, and if you opt for the high-capacity charge point this is halved to just four hours. The rapid charger gives you 80 percent capacity in just 30 minutes.

Safety and technology

Nissan equip this van with traction control and Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) as standard, along with a driver’s airbag. The Tekna Rapid model adds passenger, side and curtain airbags and front fog lights for increased visibility in poor weather conditions.
