With its practical load space and elevated seating position for greater visibility, the Nissan NV200 is a truly unique solution to urban logistics. Thanks to its impressive load capacity, it’s up to the biggest tasks, but is small enough to thread through busy city traffic.
The NV200 has neat dimensions and an aerodynamic shape. The Visia grade comes with tough black bumpers and black mirrors, and if you upgrade to the Acenta model then you also get full wheel covers. The range-topping Tekna variant features alloy wheels and body-coloured bumpers, with metallic paint available as an option. All models have twin sliding side doors and twin rear loading doors to give you easy access to the cargo space.
Contained within the NV200’s compact form is a load space that can hold up to 4,200 litres with a maximum payload of 739kg. There are six lashing hooks fitted to the cargo floor to hold your load securely, each of which can take 200kg. The full steel bulkhead comes as standard on all models, and you can opt to add a window or exchange it for a folding mesh screen.
Inside the cabin, it feels like being in a comfortable passenger car. Nissan equips the NV200 with Bluetooth® connectivity and a wealth of storage options, making this a practical mobile office space. The Tekna grade adds cruise control, satellite navigation and air conditioning to enhance the quality of your journey even further.
Performance and efficiency
There are two engine options in the NV200, as the 1.5-litre diesel unit comes with a choice of 89bhp or 110bhp. The van’s small size and responsive steering make it highly manoeuvrable on busy urban roads. The lower-powered engine option is the most efficient, returning up to 57.7mpg combined and emitting just 135g/km of CO2.
The Nissan NV200 is a very safe vehicle, equipped with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) as standard. If you upgrade to the Acenta model, you get the benefit of a rear view camera when parking. The range-topping Tekna variant adds a passenger airbag and a driver-adjustable speed limiter as standard.
