Race To Rio will Supercharge ParalympicsGB!

North Norfolk Nissan dealer, Crayford and Abbs, is aiming to raise over £5,000 for the British Paralympic Association (BPA) with ‘Race To Rio’.

The ParalympicsGB team will face its toughest competition yet in Rio with standards increasing across all sports among other nations. Following a home games in London in 2012, the team also faces a decade of long haul travel – with upcoming Games in Rio, Pyeongchang, Tokyo and Beijing. It will be more challenging and expensive than ever before for the British Paralympic Association (BPA www.rio.paralympics.org.uk) to support athletes that can inspire real change across society through their performances.

With the help of local runners, cyclists and swimmers, Race To Rio will complete the 5,876 mile distance from Bodham to Rio before 30th April and match the miles with pounds via fundraising.

Kevin Abbs, Director at Crayford and Abbs, is looking forward to the challenge. “Raising funds for the BPA is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference to ParalympicsGB team and directly contribute to their performances in Rio. Not only this, but your money will also go a long way to inspiring a shift in perceptions of disabled people and the things they can achieve.”

How you can get involved…

We need to achieve 65 miles a day before April 30th, so we’re going to need your help! Run, swim or cycle as many miles as you can and track them using a device or an app on your smartphone or, if you’re in the gym, take a photo of your treadmill or biking activity and send the weblinks or photos to:
