The All-New LEAF Has Arrived At C&A
A New Chapter Begins as the All-New Nissan LEAF Arrives at Crayford & Abbs
Sixteen years after the original Nissan LEAF helped introduce electric driving to a new generation of motorists, its long-awaited successor has arrived at Crayford & Abbs Nissan.
The arrival of the All-New Nissan LEAF at our Bodham dealership marks an exciting moment for both our team and customers across Norfolk. Completely reimagined for the modern electric era, the latest LEAF builds upon one of the most important names in electric motoring while introducing greater range, faster charging and an entirely new crossover-inspired design.
Sixteen Years of Electric Innovation
When the original Nissan LEAF launched in 2010, electric vehicles were still unfamiliar territory for many drivers. Its arrival helped demonstrate that a fully electric car could be practical, accessible and suitable for everyday life.
Over the following 16 years, the LEAF became one of the world’s most recognisable electric vehicles and helped lay the foundations for the rapidly expanding EV market we see today.
Now in its third generation, the All-New LEAF represents just how far electric driving has progressed.
Having represented Nissan for more than 24 years, Crayford & Abbs has witnessed this transformation first-hand. From introducing customers to their first experience of electric motoring to supporting long-standing LEAF owners through successive generations, the model has become an important part of our own history with Nissan.
“The original LEAF was a genuine pioneer and helped make electric driving a realistic option for everyday motorists. Sixteen years later, the All-New LEAF brings that pioneering name into a completely new era. We are incredibly excited to finally welcome it to Crayford & Abbs and give our customers the opportunity to experience it for themselves.” (Kevin Abbs - business founder)
Reimagined for a New Generation
The All-New LEAF moves away from the traditional hatchback shape of its predecessors and adopts a sleek, aerodynamic crossover design. Its streamlined silhouette, flush door handles and distinctive lighting give the car a much more contemporary presence, while its compact proportions make it well suited to Norfolk’s towns, villages and rural roads.
Despite its manageable exterior dimensions, the new model offers a spacious, flat-floor cabin and a practical 437-litre boot, making it equally capable of handling the daily commute, family journeys and longer weekends away.
Customers can choose between 52kWh and 75kWh battery options. The 52kWh model offers an official range of up to 280 miles, while the extended-range 75kWh version can travel up to 387 miles on the WLTP combined cycle, depending on specification.
Both battery options can charge from 10% to 80% in as little as 35 minutes when connected to a suitable rapid charger, helping make longer electric journeys easier and more convenient.
Intelligent Technology Made Simple
Inside, the All-New LEAF combines a clean, modern cabin with Nissan’s latest connected technology.
Depending on the selected grade, features include dual digital displays, Google built-in, intelligent route planning and over-the-air software updates. Google Maps can help plan charging stops based on the predicted battery level and real-time charger availability, while battery preconditioning prepares the vehicle for more efficient rapid charging.
ProPILOT with Navi-link provides additional assistance during longer journeys by helping the vehicle maintain its speed, distance and position within the lane. The familiar e-Pedal system also returns, allowing drivers to accelerate and decelerate using a single pedal in many everyday situations.
Selected models offer further premium features, including a dimming panoramic roof, head-up display, electrically powered tailgate, BOSE audio system and Vehicle-to-Load capability, which allows energy stored within the battery to power compatible external appliances.
Engineered and Built in Britain
The arrival of the All-New LEAF also continues Nissan’s long-standing commitment to British automotive manufacturing.
Engineered at Nissan’s technical centre in Cranfield and built at the company’s Sunderland plant, the new LEAF forms an important part of Nissan’s transition towards electric vehicle production in the UK.
For Crayford & Abbs, its arrival represents more than the introduction of another new model. It is the return of a name that helped begin Britain’s electric journey, now redesigned and re-engineered for the drivers of today.
